2nd Chronicles 6

Good Tuesday to you all, wherever this letter finds you! I look forward to Tuesdays, my darling bride has women’s Bible study in the morning, then that evening we have our family group. It is nice to have a place where you belong!

I hope we have built a place where you feel like you belong here at The Daily Bible Challenge each day. We also hope this is a place for new believers and seekers, as well as those who have called themselves Christians for many decades. This morning, we have something for all of those people in chapter 6 of 2nd Chronicles, so let’s get to it!

It seemed strange to me that Solomon would stand on something made of bronze in the temple, but then I noticed that it was a platform he had made, maybe for this very purpose. Not some other bronze appointment that had been made from God’s design for the tabernacle. To stand on any of those items would have probably been worthy of death! But Solomon had wisdom granted by God and, at this point, was staying strictly to God’s plan.

There was something else that struck me as important in verse 33. It would seem that God had revealed to Solomon that someday people other than the Jewish people would be allowed to worship at the temple and become counted among God’s people…that would be us Gentiles! There is so much meat on this bone (The Old Testament) if you are willing to dig a little deeper!

Now, here is a message for those who proclaim to be Christian: Do you really spend time in prayer and in the Bible? This is why the Daily Bible Challenge is for you also! This is a safe place to put your faith into practice, dig into God’s word for you, and start making it a part of your life. A place where you can ask questions of fellow believers and search together for the answers. A place with no other motive than to grow your relationship with God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. A place that will challenge you to put your faith into practice and share God with others, out of love, not judgment! Did you know we are to expect worldly ways from the unsaved? We are not to judge them for acting like the world, we are to love them into seeing there is a new life for them ahead, living with and for God. A real purpose to life that will leave them fulfilled at night, exhausted from serving but happy to get up and do it again tomorrow!

If you want a life like that, please join us here daily, 365 days a year, and read the whole Bible a few chapters at a time. Get to know this Christ we Christians claim to follow! Together, we can crossover from knowing God’s word to being a doer of God’s word! So yes, the Old Testament is for the Jewish, but it is also for us as it foretells of the Messiah coming to deliver all of us who will confess and repent, and become doers of His words!

Click the link below and listen for yourself…don’t trust me to do it for you, after all, I am just some stranger on the internet! We welcome your questions and comments via PM/DM, and we reply to each comment or question personally!
