2nd Chronicles 22 An Evil Queen for Jerusalem



  That was sure a long day yesterday. I slept late this morning after wrestling with sleep for a couple of hours, while I finally wound down. I am a morning person, so work days that last well into the evening can really mess with my rhythm. Which is probably why I had to reread this chapter several times, even though it is only a two-minute read. I finally asked Grok to summarize it, and that allowed me to wrap my sleepy head around what was going on. I look forward to tomorrow's chapter to hear what happens to Athaliah.

  Did you know there was once a queen ruling over Jerusalem? She was an evil, wicked queen named Athaliah, and she put many of the possible heirs from King David’s lineage to death so she could seize power! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in).
