2nd Chronicles 15
Good day to each of you, far and wide! Today’s daily Bible Challenge Blog is not for everyone. If you are content in God and in a full saving relationship, this might not appeal to you. But for those who are still feeling empty, who go to some big church each week, but still haven’t found the Lord and still have that empty feeling in their hearts, this one is for all of you! It is also for a seeker who has not found God or a church they are seeking. We are in 2nd Chronicles 15, and a prophet of the Lord has been sent to call out to the king and the people.
Are you waiting on a prophet to tell you what is missing? Maybe you have been attending church at a large, organized worldwide religion for ten, twenty, or even fifty years, yet still feel empty! Knowing something is missing, but not knowing what to do about it! Well, all of you who fit into these descriptions, this day’s Bible Challenge is for you! Maybe what's wrong isn’t your church; maybe it’s you! Have you become a listener and not a doer? STOP waiting and start really seeking the Lord, read your Bible! If you are really new to all this, start in Mathew 1:16, or start by getting on your knees in prayer and ask Him into your life, and then start reading in Matthew! So many of us leave all the teaching up to our minister, pastor, or priest. We are farming out all the responsibility of our relationship to a third party. Your pastor is a teacher and hopefully is inspirational to you in this journey, but the journey is yours, and only you and God are responsible for your growth in this relationship!
Imagine this, you are in marriage counseling, and you and your spouse go every week, and the counselor talks the whole time on what your marriage is supposed to be like and even assigns homework, but neither of you talks or reads the homework at home! But when there is no change in your relationship, you get mad at the counselor and find a new one, and begin to repeat the same patterns with the new one. That is just what people do with churches. They farm out their relationship with God to the church and never invest time or effort in the God they are trying to form a relationship with.
So here is your chance to start being sincere with God and yourself. Click the Matthew link above first, then come back to this link below and start the Daily Bible Challenge with us and invest in your relationship with God. We are here daily and read one or two chapters a day, 365 days a year. Our goal is to read the whole Bible cover to cover in context. The “why” in that goal is to learn about our Lord and Savior, Jesus, the one who is the Christ, and invest in our relationship with Him! If you do this, your church wounds or apathy will begin to heal, or you will seek a new church that inspires you to grow in your relationship with God.
Even three thousand years ago, people got lost in how to search for God and start a relationship with Him! They made up false gods that fit what they wanted god to be, but God already is what He is and will not change to fit your requirements. After all, if He had to change to fit you, would He really be big enough to worship? Click the link below to see how King Asa became inspired to seek a real relationship with the one and only God! I hope all this will inspire you to do the same!
Talk with you soon!
