1st Chronicles 29 Wealth Beyond Measure!

Good day to you on this fine Thursday. I ask for prayers for all those ravaged by the tornadoes/storms on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. The property damages were severe, but at this time, only two deaths occurred due to the far better warnings and reporting available today. What a devastating time this must be for all those families! It is in such stark contrast to what we are reading/listening to in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge!

In chapter 29 of 1st Chronicles, we are listening to great wealth and riches being donated to build the first temple (AKA Solomon’s Temple). But clearly that is a misnomer as it is God’s Temple! God provided such great wealth for His people that their contributions for the temple are almost unbelievable in pure volume of giving! In my opinion, there has never been such a building campaign since this one! The gold and silver alone would be billions of dollars in today’s value.

But alas, we also hear of King David’s passing, with such a great line we should all be striving for in this life. We read 1Ch 29:28 NASB95: Then he died in a ripe old age, full of days, riches, and honor… What a great thing for a tombstone! “Full of days, riches, and honor!” Someday, I would like that on my tombstone, but you regulars will know my riches are counted in the New Lives in Christ that God has honored me with serving. Getting to introduce people to God is an honor that I cherish more than any riches could bring.

If you have questions or comments about this new life in Christ, please don’t delay in contacting us via PM/DM, and we will get back with you personally to help you find what you seek!
