1st Chronicles 23 Re/Generation
Last night I got to share my God story with a new group of Re/Generation sojourners. This testimony of how God transformed me from a self-centered conn man with multiple addictions into a Pastor serving Him in all ways in a new life in Christ. A man who had secrets everywhere but now lives a transparent life, hoping to share Christ's truth with all I meet. A man who lived only for his own pleasure is now living to bring hope and love to all who will listen! You see, this complete transformation makes God very real to me; there is no doubt He did a miracle in my life, as most who know me now would never believe I was the man I used to be!
My mission here at The Daily Bible Challenge is to try to talk you into reading the whole Bible cover to cover in context, so you can get to know your creator, too! Not to show off my Biblical knowledge because I am a student too, I am always learning more about God through life and the instruction book He left all of us! But sometimes I get so lost in the Bible, usually from cultural differences with the authors of these 66 books.
Do you ever get mixed up when all these names are showing up in different books of the Bible? Like this morning, we have a Moses listed in the genealogical records in 1st Chronicles 23, but we are dealing with David’s life and his son Solomon. Is this the same Moses we read all about in Exodus months ago? Timelines can get a little blurred here, and it can be easy to get mixed up. But indeed, we have shifted all the way back to Levitical times to talk about Moses and his brother Aaron, to explain the lineage of the Levitical Priests. What I do if I am not sure is to go do an AI search and ask Grok, or Got Questions. They always give me the references for the answers, so I can quickly get back on track with a fuller understanding of what is going on in the chapters that get me mixed up. So, Got Questions, Grok, and more coffee, and prayer are my four secret weapons to gaining more understanding of the background in the Bible. What are your go-to sources?
Talk with you soon!
