2nd Kings 24
Good morning, I finally finished up a never-ending job yesterday. It has always puzzled me how, when a job goes wrong, it seems to be snakebit, and it is five times harder to get it finished correctly. Everyone who touches it messes up all along the way! But it sure feels good to have this one
wrapped up before the weekend! As my Pastor said on the phone last night, there is a lot of spiritual warfare going on these days. We were having some property rights issues with a builder on a lot near us yesterday, so I was on my phone trying to resolve the problem while a paint brush was in my other hand… I felt attacked, but kept praying little prayers in between all the interruptions. God finally used it all for good by the end of the evening, but it was sure not looking good in the middle of all of it.
How do you steer your life through the maze of interruptions and turmoil that arises? Of course, the best way is to plan well and keep up with the little stuff so it doesn’t ever become a big problem. But we can’t always control everything, and sometimes things will explode into a mess! Well, I would tell you that if you are all prayed up ahead of time, and also say little prayers at every little junction, life will become less stressful as God reminds you He is in charge and we are not! Oh, we like to think we are in charge, but life has a way of showing all of us that we aren’t!
That is just what Today’s Daily Bible Challenge is all about, as we listen to 2nd Kings 24 and see God fulfill His word that His people will be scattered from the promised land due to their complete disrespect of God. It is interesting to me that this conqueror moved the best people out of the land to his land as servants, instead of the usual method of killing every man, woman, and child! So God did what HE said HE would do, without killing the remnant of His chosen people! Click the link below and listen for yourself!
