2nd Kings 21

  


   Good morning from The Little Hundred Acre Wood, the hounds have had their run, and the tigers have all been fed! I overslept by quite a bit, so this will be a little short. I rarely oversleep even without an alarm, but I have been so sick, and my body finally got into a real DEEP REM sleep!  I am so thankful for that full night's sleep! Well enough about me, let's talk about God's word and his people! 

  Where to start with such a turn of events for Today’s Daily Bible Challenge in 2nd Kings 21? Hezekiah was so good until his pride got the best of him at the end! Now we get a king who is so evil that he, in one generation, undid all the good that Hezekiah had done in his lifetime! I am sure God has a special place for this kind of evil, especially from a leader! Leaders are held in a special honor or persecution depending on their actions! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! Would you have argued with God, or maybe even just fled for your life?  Are you wondering why God would have done this? In my youth, I wondered about it too! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in). A brother from church has asked to do the work, and he is very experienced with painting with the high-pressure spray type rig I am providing.
