2nd Kings 20




  Good Monday morning! What a great halftime show that was from TPUSA last night! I didn’t catch that Kid Rock did two performances; I didn’t recognize him in the second! Overall, it was a great halftime performance! There were a couple of production issues, but no wardrobe malfunctions LOL! The commercials were not up to the usual standards. Madeline and I really don’t keep up with football anymore, but we always watch for the commercials. This year, we never even turned on the game and watched the commercials on YouTube afterward. I wonder what the NFL is thinking with all this? I guess we are more of a baseball house!

  Well, I am rambling again. Let’s get to 2nd Kings chapter 20 for Today’s Daily Bible Challenge. Where we see King Hezekiah get granted fifteen more years to live by God, talk about the power of prayer! But afterwards, he goes off the deep end and shows off his crib/digs and treasures to total strangers. Kind of reminds me of some old Super Bowl commercials! Like some rich pimped-out rapper is walking us through his earthly treasures. You can’t help but think of how such prideful behavior is bound to lead to destruction! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! Would you have argued with God, or maybe even just fled for your life?  Are you wondering why God would have done this? In my youth, I wondered about it too! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in). A brother from church has asked to do the work, and he is very experienced with painting with the high-pressure spray type rig I am providing.
