2nd Kings 18 Why do we do The Daiy Bible Challenge?
Good morning, I will not write much this morning, due to a fever and body aches. But I did want to take a moment to talk about why we read the Bible here daily. The Daily Bible Challenge is more than a name; it is a mission to inspire you to stop listening to gossip about God and start listening to God about God! We strongly believe God’s word will change your life from the inside out. It may take ten years or ten seconds for some, but God’s word always has a yield at harvest time!
So, if you want to stop relying on second-hand knowledge about God and want to get it daily in easy dosages (one and sometimes two chapters at a time), then this is the place for you! Oh, I forgot one thing, if you are new here, we listen to the Bible from an audiobook of the NASB 95. This version is provided by Blue Letter Bible ( BLB.ORG ). With that link, you can read along in the text if you prefer.
This morning’s chapter, we listened to Judah finally getting a proper God-fearing King! His name was Hezekiah, and he tore down all the false god images/idols we read about yesterday! Today’s chapter is a bit of a cliff-hanger, but it is too long to do two chapters. We welcome your comments and questions via PM/DM!
Talk with you soon!
