1st Chronicles 8
As I watch the familiar warm red glow start to rise over the eastern horizon, I have been pondering how the God who created all this actually knows us by name and even knows the number of the hairs on our head! He left us this book, which tells us all about Him, for us to learn, yet so many of us who profess His name won’t even open the pages! Well, technically, this is 66 books, and He had some forty authors write it while He inspired their words. We call it a book, but if you haven’t even opened it, you won’t learn that it is 66 books!
So if you are new here, you have stumbled upon The Daily Bible Challenge, where we read/listen to the whole Bible one or two chapters at a time. But here is the problem, you have started in two of the most difficult books, 1st & 2nd Chronicles. I won’t pull any punches; there is a lot of genealogy here, and it can get pretty dry! But if it were easy, we wouldn’t have named this Blog a Challenge! We are about a quarter of the way through, and it will get easier soon. So please stick with it and join us here daily, so you too can be one of the statistical few who have read the whole Bible cover to cover!
