1st Chronicles 3 The Family of King David



  Good Tuesday morning, I hope all is going well in your neck of the woods. All is well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood! The coffee is hot and strong, so let’s get to Today’s Daily Bible Challenge! We are in 1st Chronicles 3 as we read of all of King David’s sons daughter and descendants.


  Today’s chapter is very short and not much meat, unless of course you dig in a little deeper. In verse 17, you will hear of someone referred to as Jeconiah, “the prisoner.” If you follow this link https://www.gotquestions.org/curse-of-Jeconiah.html, you will find some meat and potatoes to feast on! This is also a short read, but fascinating if you like to understand just how much God has all this laid out for the future! I love knowing my Father has a plan and knows every hair left on my head! But it is important to note that just because He knows what you will decide does not mean He made you decide it, that just wouldn’t be love, would it! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! Would you have argued with God, or maybe even just fled for your life?  Are you wondering why God would have done this? In my youth, I wondered about it too! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in). A brother from church has asked to do the work, and he is very experienced with painting with the high-pressure spray type rig I am providing.
