1st Chronicles 2

 


  Good morning! My darling bride has gone to Houston for a few days to grand-dog sit, so I am keeping busy to pass the time quickly. Today I have a couple of minor jobs, then back here to The Little Hundred Wood to remove the engine from my parts truck. I accidentally sold the engine off FB Marketplace this weekend. Just as well I know little of how the engine was rebuilt, and I need some clutch parts out of the transmission anyway. Now, if my tractor can run long enough to lift out the engine, this will be an easy job! What does this have to do with The Daily Bible Challenge? Pretty much nothin I guess! But with my bride out of town, I need to talk with someone, don’t I?


  God is the ultimate Master Project Manager, as we will see His groundwork and milestones being laid out in the genealogy of Today’s Bible Challenge in 1st Chronicles 2. No, He didn’t create people to fail; He just had a plan B and C for when people chose not to do their part! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! Would you have argued with God, or maybe even just fled for your life?  Are you wondering why God would have done this? In my youth, I wondered about it too! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in). A brother from church has asked to do the work, and he is very experienced with painting with the high-pressure spray type rig I am providing.
