1st Chronicles 16 Partying in the streets for days!

Good Saturday morning! My darling bride is already up, hours before her normal time. She is a volunteer working and attending a women’s conference at our church’s main campus in Granbury today. She worked last night too and didn’t get home until late. It was such a Joy to see her all revved up and excited from the evening. We stayed up very late (for me anyway LOL) as she told me all about the evening. She is about to start drinking her first of many coffees, I am sure! I will be starting a big wiring project on my antique truck this morning. The fuse block had an issue in the fall, and I will be splicing in a new one. Well, let’s get to the good stuff in chapter 16 of 1st Chronicles.

We have read of many wars over the past few months, and now we read of a war starting last night in present-day Iran, but it was called Persia when this book was written. But today’s chapter is all about the celebration of setting up the Ark in the city of David/Jerusalem. It was a grand celebration, and everyone was included and even blessed with food for the feast. We do not seem to know how to celebrate like this anymore; these feasts lasted days and days. Could you imagine a Fourth of July party lasting several days, and everyone staying there eating, drinking, and dancing for several days straight? Now that’s a party!
