11st Chronicles 15 When a wife despises her man for worshiping God!
Good Friday morning to all of you near and far! I am not quite sure how this week has gone already, it was very fast from our accounts! There doesn’t seem to be enough coffee in all the world to wake me up this morning. I have two items on my agenda today: an oil change for Madeline’s truck (she named Bella), and drilling a 6’ hole in asphalt with a coring bit to install a visitor sign to finish out a job. Although I might have to push the hole drilling to Monday, as Madeline wants to go do something together today. My little cat is curled up in my lap under my keyboard as I am writing to you; she seems content to listen to the keys clacking away just above her. With the hounds also at my feet, this must be quite a scene for us animal lovers.
Well, there was a whole paragraph you can never get back, sorry for rambling! Let’s get to Today’s Daily Bible Challenge in chapter 15 of 1st Chronicles. David prepares the tabernacle for the Ark to move into. They do it right this time and consult the scriptures for how to move it and who should do it. As it arrives, everyone is worshiping with glee and celebration, including King David. He is extremely happy and dancing in the streets with little, if any, clothes on. His bride, Michal (the daughter of Saul), saw this from the window above and began to despise him for how undignified he was being.
As a husband and King, where do you go from there? How can they make their relationship whole again? Michal and David have a long, difficult history in their marriage, which is a good thing to search with Grok/AI. They could really have used the marriage ministry Re/Engage, but alas, that would not be available for another 2500 years or so! I am sure glad my darling bride would never despise me for my worship, that is an area where our oneness is very secure! Click the link below to hear it for yourself!
