2nd Samuel 18 David has a deep mourning by the end of this chapter!




  Good Friday morning, one and all, far and wide! Who would have thought a post with a picture of a man hanging himself in humiliation would be one of the largest readership days of all time for The Daily Bible Challenge? But that is just what happened yesterday, the farther God’s word is spread, the happier I am about fulfilling my purpose! I won’t lie to get you to read it, but I will do just about anything else to get you to click the link below and read and listen all about the chapter!

  I know that as a pastor, I am expected to maintain a certain behavioral standard, but I am closer to King David in my approach to serving God. Remember the verse and song “I will become even more undignified than this” as David danced in the streets to worship God! Well, that is way too much about me, let’s get to today’s chapter, 2nd Samuel 18.

  David sends his soldiers out to battle the warriors of his son, and by the end of the day, he goes into deep mourning. My former big-city-spidey-sense tells me that is why Joab told the king he shouldn’t go into this battle; Joab probably already planned this! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory.
