Judges 18 Ahh, November is finally here, time for family and joyful days!



  Good Saturday morning, I am thankful it is November 1st! October is not my favorite month, especially there, at the end! But now we begin to prepare for two of the biggest feasts of American Christians. Thanksgiving and Christmas, of course! Family all gathered together and lots of fun and Joy through these two months across the nation. Be careful not to be a Martha in this time and be more like Mary, enjoying the family instead of focusing on the perfection of the celebration! (Luke 10:38-42).

  For Today’s Daily Bible Challenge, we are reading/listening to Judges 18, where the tribe of Dan steals Micah’s Priest and all his false gods/idols. This act of brute force will lead them to a dark place in history and maybe even in the future. Many even theorize that they are cut out of their role in the end times due to this idolatry! In fact, there are even some that say that the antichrist will come out of the tribe of Dan! They tended to lean toward brute force and stealing. Even overpowering and killing a whole city of peaceful people to steal their land. I see some similarities with the tribe of Dan and America today!

  Well, I have given a little more detail than usual. Please remember that what I write is not important, but God’s Word is crucial to a new life full of JOY and purpose! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in). A brother from church has asked to do the work, and he is very experienced with painting with the high-pressure spray type rig I am providing.
