1st Samuel 6 & 7 50K Men are killed by God!



  Fifty thousand and seventy men died for looking into the Ark; God’s wrath is real, do not discount it as Jesus stopped all that. There will be great destruction and death in the end times. There will also be Judgement when we die, whether in the end times or now. I do not in any way want to dismiss that Jesus is Love and came to deliver all who will repent, but Jesus is part of the Triune God we are reading/listening to here in the Old Testament. Tiune means three parts, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, but they are all one. Just go read John 1:1 and see that Jesus was there in the Garden of Eden. Jesus is the Word mentioned there in John. Hey, this is life or death stuff here, don’t take my word for it, go read/listen to these chapters (1st Samuel 6&7) and research this for yourself, like Lee Strobel did https://leestrobel.com/about! You can find all of the research needed at BLB.ORG, but I challenge you to research elsewhere also! Here are some great sites for research: Biblegateway.com, Gotquestions.org, and even Grok has some great information on God.

  Here is the key to salvation: accept you are a sinner, repent…(means to turn away from sin and turn toward God). Then read all of the book of John (especially John 3:18) and understand how Jesus died to be a sacrifice for our sins. Through that death, we are forgiven, but that doesn’t mean to keep on in the same lifestyle as the world will lead you to do (God will not be mocked!). It means to choose God over the sins we love. Deciding to love God more than your sin and accept His forgiveness and Lordship over your life. So Jesus taught us in the New Testament to believe in Him, and we will have salvation. But that doesn’t mean He will be mocked by an unrepentant heart! He is the same God who killed the 50,700 men in chapter 6. Please don’t mock God, ask Him to reveal to you what you need to do to have Salvation, and along the way you will learn to Love Him and develop that repentant heart referred to above!

  For some, it is an instantaneous change, for others (like me), it took years and years to accept the humbling God had for me to kill my pride that was a wall I had built between me and Him! I for sure would have been one of the fifty thousand dead in chapter 6, as I would have definitely or at least curiously looked into the Ark! Please ask yourself and God what walls have you built?

Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in).
