1st Samuel 20, Saul is still trying to kill David and now his own son too!
As I write this letter to you, there is a great thunderstorm deeply soaking the entire Little Hundred Acre Wood of our homestead. We needed this deep rain to prepare for winter and spring. The neighbors down the hill are trying to get out and are headed to drop off kids and then get to work! I do not envy them on such a morning as this! I have done that for decades, and now I am free from such things, yet somehow they are missed, too!
My mission these days is mostly from this keyboard; God commissioned me with two things for the rest of my life. The first is to try and talk you into reading/listening to the whole Bible cover to cover (that’s The Daily Bible Challenge). The second is to talk with you personally via PM/DM and sometimes phone calls and in person, about a new life in Christ! This is more important than the first, but to get into a deep saving relationship with Christ that changes you from the inside out, the first is almost a prerequisite! No, reading the Bible is not required to be saved; just look at the account of the thief on the cross next to Jesus! But living a life honoring God is a lot easier if you read the instruction book He left us!
So would you consider helping me fulfil my life mission? Just click the link below and start reading your Bible (well, the link is an audiobook, so start listening, but you can also go to BLB.ORG and read along!) Then, if you have questions about a new life in Christ, or the scripture, please shoot us a PM/DM on any platform you are reading this on, and we will get back to you personally…not a bot response!
One more closing point, if you are new to all this, you might want to start in John 1:1 instead of this deep Old Testament stuff we are now in. Please click the link to start your journey through the Bible and learn more about God in 1st Samuel 20, as Jonathan and David try to navigate staying alive with King Saul wanting to kill both of them now!
Talk with you soon!
