1ST Samuel 10 Changed lives are our only rewards!


 I hope that if God sent a messenger to me and told me all the things that were revealed to Saul through Samuel, that I would rise to the occasion and serve well! But the part about Saul standing head and shoulders above all the people would take a miracle with my towering stature of five-foot-six inches LOL! Like the later prophet/Apostle Paul, I am a short man with a big job! We are reading/listening to 1ST Samuel 10 for Today’s Daily Bible Challenge!


 My job is to get you by whatever means necessary (without breaking the ten commandments) to convince you to read the whole Bible cover to cover, one chapter at a time, here at The Daily Bible Challenge! My job is also to talk with you about Jesus, who is the Christ, and how He came to deliver the willing world from sin and into salvation! Yes, unfortunately, He only delivers those who are willing to confess their sin and repent (turn away from sin). You do that by professing your belief in Him as the Savior/God and asking Him to deliver you from your sin. Then you accept Him as Lord over your life. With all this, you will start a new life in Christ and be reborn, as Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3.

Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! Would you have argued with God, or maybe even just fled for your life?  Are you wondering why God would have done this? In my youth, I wondered about it too! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in). A brother from church has asked to do the work, and he is very experienced with painting with the high-pressure spray type rig I am providing.
