Judges 13 Sliding in strong to home plate/heaven!

   


  Good Tuesday morning to all of you near and far! We have the beginning of a great account from the Bible this morning! As we take the Daily Bible Challenge and read Judges 13! Please don’t dismiss these chapters because there is so much detail that was left out of your Sunday school lessons as a child, which may not be suitable for kids. If you have never heard about Sampson, prepare for a very interesting read/listen in the next few days! Yes, a great and powerful man was tricked by a beautiful seductress, but that is just a small part of the story! Sampson does not avoid the consequences for his lustful actions, but he still fulfills the role God had planned for his life and death!

  Finishing strong is something I hope to be able to do someday! Holding strong to God’s word and plan for your life is something many Christians strive for, hoping to hear those words; Well done, my faithful servant! In many a sermon, this has been depicted as a baseball player sliding into home plate, dirty, tattered uniform, and even bloodied! Not that we are trying to earn salvation, that is a gift from God, but out of respect and love for our Father God, we want to please Him by doing His good works He has made us especially equipped for, like He did with Sampson! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in).
