Joshua 20 The Six Cities of Refuge and the Avenger of Blood!

Good morning, Madeline, and I are trying something new today, we are trying to observe our Sabbath (day of rest) today, Saturday. Because I work for the church on Sundays, it can be hard to dedicate a day to rest and time with God. We are not sure what we are doing in this new adventure, but this week we are starting small. From dusk Friday to dusk Saturday, we will rest and do no work. Because The Daily Bible Challenge is free and part of my own quiet time with God, I will still post this as usual. It is not work to me, but it is a joy and love to get to talk to you about God and how He has changed our lives and can do the same for you! Any responses to messages will be the next day, unless there is an emergency. We will be adding a little more to our new tradition each week until we understand what God wants us, two Gentiles, to do with His day. He clearly states to us that the Sabbath was made for man, not man made for the Sabbath. With that, we have a lot to learn about Sabbath days here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood!

Today's Daily Bible Challenge is chapter 20 of Joshua. It has a mention of one of my favorite characters in the Bible, well, sort of a superhero image is what has always come to my mind when this comes up. I have posted a picture of it on today’s blog, but it is just from AI, from my mind’s imagination. But who was the Avenger of Blood? That is a good question for you to dig into with gotquestions.org! Hint, He is not one person or a super superhero type!

Click the link below and start your adventure in reading the whole Bible cover to cover in context! That is our central mission here at The Daily Bible Challenge: we want you to read it and stop listening to (or creating) gossip about God and start listening to God about God! I will not hide that we also have a mission of introducing you to Christ with hopes you will start a new life in Christ as your Lord and Savior!

  Talk with you soon!
