Joshua 15 Why Take This Challenge?

Good Tuesday morning, we are in chapter 15 of Joshua for Today’s Daily Bible Challenge. Please join us as we dig into the Bible, reading the whole thing one or two chapters at a time! If you join this challenge, you will become one of the statistical few who have actually read the whole Bible, in context no less! Yes, we do skip around a little, but only when important Holidays make it a good thing to do, like moving to the New Testament for Christmas and Easter!

Now, if you are saying you don’t have time, we do this using Blue Letter Bible’s audiobook of the NASB 95 version. The typical chapters are less than 5 minutes to listen to! So if you do this on your phone, you can easily do this on your commute to work or on the way home from dropping off the kids at school!

If you are saying; Why would I want to do this? Here are a couple of good reasons to take the challenge and read the whole Bible cover to cover! Some of you claim to be Christians, yet you have never heard a whole chapter directly from God’s word. Some of you claim to be Christians but literally know nothing of God’s nature. Lots of people get their Godly knowledge through gossip about God! Maybe even from some people who have never even stepped foot in a church or read the Bible! So here is our challenge’s motto! Please stop listening to gossip about God and start listening to God about God!

In today’s chapter, we are reading about the actual border of Israel. It is interesting to think about this as it pertains to today’s headlines about Israel! In verses 15:17, we will hear two names to remember for our reading in another book later, Othniel and Achsah. We will also read about how God’s instructions about the Jebusites (Descendants of Noah’s sons) were not followed, and it may also have something to do with today’s headlines about the war in Israel.

If you are new here, we often use the website Got Questions to do further digging into God’s word. We also use the many tools from the Blue Letter Bible. I am not some genius teacher; I rely heavily on the research of far more talented Biblical scholars’ work! But I have read the Bible many, many times, and at 64 years of age, have recently graduated from Practical Theological Seminary.

The Daily Bible Challenge is a ministry; it is free to you, but from time to time, I will share with you some organizations we support and hope you will, too! Such as BLB.ORG and Gotquestions.org! We receive no compensation or donations from any organizations at this time! We are also available for direct messaging via any platform where you read this post! We would love to answer any questions you have on starting a saving relationship with Christ!

  Talk with you soon!
