Deuteronomy 33 Moses' Blessing Over His People!




  Good Sunday morning, we will be traveling back to The Little Hundred Acre Wood today, just in time to head to church for our responsibilities there. The wedding we came to Houston for went so very well, and so did the reception. While we were at the reception, we got a call from our son in Cypress that our beloved granddog was hurt, but ok. She managed to dislocate her hip playing wild and crazy like a goldendoodle does! So, it was a late night around here as she went into the Animal ER. We hope she will be fine soon, but there will be more work ahead for her as they couldn’t get things back in the correct position at the ER.


  Well, we are here for The Daily Bible Challenge, so let's get to chapter 33 of Deuteronomy, where we pick up on the blessing over the people of Israel by Moses as he prepares for his death. Could you imagine knowing your time of death because God told you so? Well, there is something very important here in the study of this culture: before someone dies, they pass a spoken blessing over their family or those under their leadership. That is exactly what we will be reading/listening to this morning. It is an uplifting blessing, unlike a lot of his other writings, to these rebellious people! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in). A brother from church has asked to do the work, and he is very experienced with painting with the high-pressure spray type rig I am providing.
