Deuteronomy 29 Covenants with God, How Many Are There?

    


Good morning, I hope you are ready for your Wednesday, but not before your daily dose of God’s word! Here at The Daily Bible Challenge, we have a mission, and that is to talk with you about reading your Bible.    I try not to teach much of anything, but only give you enough insight to be curious enough to read it for yourself! Yes, some days are more of a challenge, like yesterday’s! Today’s chapter is Deuteronomy 29 and is only about a 4-minute read/listen. Context is very important to understanding the Bible. So in that light, this was written to the Jewish people, well, technically the twelve tribes of Israel (Israel the person). Therefore, this covenant is not with us Gentiles but with those 12 tribes.

Our covenant is with Jesus as our Lord and Savior. There have been three major covenants with God; today, we read about the second one. We hope that at some point you will start to pray a little while before or after clicking the link!

Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! Would you have argued with God, or maybe even just fled for your life?  Are you wondering why God would have done this? In my youth, I wondered about it too! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in).
