Deuteronomy 25 Forty Lashes for Wrongful Lawsuits

    



  Some of you still think I make things up to tease you into reading the Bible, but this stuff is really there! In Today’s Daily Bible Challenge (Deuteronomy chapter 25), there is mention of a woman taking a hold of a man’s testicles in her husband’s fight! I am not making this up! By the way, this is strictly forbidden and has a nasty punishment!

  Now, if this makes you not want to read the Bible, please understand this is the Old Testament and are Moses’ laws and God’s laws altogether. These laws were a framework on which to create a template to make a society function in a group of fallen men and women!

  There is also something in here that would terrify members of the bar, basically to discourage false lawsuits, the loser would get 40 lashes. Could you imagine what that would do to today’s court system? Now, before some of you go misquoting me somewhere, I am not condoning beatings for all losing parties in lawsuits, but any false lawsuits should have severe penalties, especially for the lawyers, to prevent abuse of the system!

  So what are you missing by not reading that old dusty Bible sitting somewhere in your house? You are missing God’s inspired word, foretelling the coming of our Savior and Lord Jesus the Christ! We are in the very beginning of the Bible, but soon we will be into the stuff that will introduce you to Jesus. He has been in existence with God the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning of time. Jesus is the one who breathed life into all creatures large and small. He is referred to as the breath of life. If you doubt any of these things, please send us a PM and we will be happy to point you to direct scriptures to back up these claims! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in).
