Deuteronomy 19 More on the Blood Avenger, oh and Eeyore too!

Good Saturday morning, we have a busy day ahead. Madeline is feeling much better now and might go to the grocery store. Our loving church family has been delivering meals every single day since we got home from the hospital! It may seem like impossible odds, but my diverticulitis has flared up for the first time in many years! (That is what Madeline went to the hospital for, if you didn’t know.) Crazzy right?

Crazy times here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood! I am missing a men's breakfast this morning due to my illness, ARGH! I really wanted to go to this one! A neighbor and church friend is coming today to install all of the front-end parts and new shocks on Eeyore, my little antique truck. I would normally do this myself, but this has been a bad year for our health, and I need it done soon to protect the new tires that I installed a couple of months ago. The truck has been sitting still for weeks now, with all that has been going on in our lives! I hope to finish the floorboards replacement and the interior as soon as temperatures begin to cool for fall.

After that truck is done, I will be switching back to the exterior of our home. I need to finish the windows and siding installation and then paint. I may be hiring some of that out, too, if I don’t bounce back quickly from this doggone diverticulitis! Well, I am rambling this morning, more than usual for sure! Thanks for humoring an older guy LOL!

Let’s get to why we are here, The Daily Bible Challenge! We are in Deuteronomy 19, and we will hear about the blood avenger again. We will also read/hear about the real meaning of sanctuary cities. It is clear that the death penalty is Biblically sound, but vigilantism seems to have a place here, too! The blood avenger is usually from the family of the original victim of the murder. This is an interesting study of how to run a justice system!

As always, your comments and questions are welcome via PM/DM on any platform you read The Daily Bible Challenge.

  Talk with you soon!
