Numbers 12 A Lesson on Disrespecting God's Appointed!


  Wow, chapter 12 of Numbers is such a surprise! There is so much in so few words. Today is the perfect day to join the Daily Bible Challenge! Less than three minutes to listen to this one will fill you with questions about so many things! I am giddy to tell you enough to tempt you to read/listen to it!

  First of all, this is a family squabble between two brothers and their older sister! Mariam was the older sister who tended to Moses in the woven basket hidden in the Nile from way back in Exodus 1:22. Also, remember that Aaron is Moses’s older brother. Now, without giving too much away, Aaron and Mariam seemed to be becoming jealous of Moses’s role and relationship with God. To be clear, Moses had a very special relationship with God, and proof of that is about to be made very clear in this chapter. Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in).
