Leviticus 24 What is stoning?

 

  Good morning, God put something on my heart as I read Leviticus 24 for Today’s Daily Bible Challenge. First, it was, why do you think they all had to put their hands on the head of the man they were about to stone to death in 24:14? Then He said, think of how you would be personally convicted of all the things you have done if you had to touch the man’s head you were about to pass judgment on! For most, the only difference between this man and ourselves is that he got caught!


  The law’s purpose we are reading about was to show us how we all fall short of God’s strandards, but through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, we all may be saved from the punishment required for our sins! Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! Would you have argued with God, or maybe even just fled for your life?  Are you wondering why God would have done this? In my youth, I wondered about it too! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in). A brother from church has asked to do the work, and he is very experienced with painting with the high-pressure spray type rig I am providing.
