Leviticus 23
Good morning, no disasters struck as I entered the kitchen to make my coffee this morning, and I am very thankful for that! There is a great sunrise starting outside my little office windows, and there appear to be far fewer clouds, just the right amount for God’s canvas for another sunrise of Hope painting across the sky! In a way, I am so grateful that God humbled me before all my meetings yesterday. I saw such hope in each meeting from my newly humbled vantage point.
Our local territory representative from FCA was at the latter meeting, and her youthful excitement for this coming year’s activities was contagious! I am not even much of a sports guy, but I was ready to head to Friday Night Lights in support of FCA’s goals! Did you know you can go to their website and support them financially? In doing so, you will be supporting future Christian leaders to take part in returning our communities to God’s will.Well, before I start rambling on endlessly, let’s get to Today’s Daily Bible Challenge in Leviticus 23. We will be listening as God lays out the calendar for His people. Starting with the Passover in the spring and ending with the harvest at the Feast of Booths. Both of these fasts are centered around God’s deliverance of these people from Egypt’s slavery. So the very entity that God used to keep His people alive in famine (Joseph in Egypt) later enslaved them for centuries. Because men are so callous and forgetful of God’s grace on them, we all need to be reminded by these celebrations.
