Exodus 33 How messy is your life right now?

Good morning, it is another very wet, rainy morning here on the Little Hundred Acre Wood. North Central Texas always needs rain, but this is getting a little old LOL! I will spend my time today cleaning up the shop/garage after all the mechanical work on the truck over the last few weeks. It's time to transform the shop into a metal fabrication shop for a few days. Then it will become an upholstery shop for a while. I have to clean up my mess between each kind of work just to make room to move! I tend to be very tired after a day's work and have never been good at cleaning up each day! So today’s rain will give me the excuse to stay inside and clean and organize, if for nothing else than my own sanity!

I wonder if God feels that way about the messes we make in our lives? We teach in our Re/Generation program at StoneWater Church to clean up our messes with God and others each day as they happen. If you sin against God or someone else, go admit your error and make amends, and ask for forgiveness right away. Wounds left without tending fester quickly, and so do sins against others! But when we live an honest and open life, our conscience is free, and our lives don’t become a cluttered minefield of hurts. It becomes very hard to function in a life full of so many unresolved feelings. My shop is a minefield of clutter right now, and unless I straighten it all out, it will be very hard to function in a smooth and efficient way next week. Are your relationships full of such clutter? Maybe it is time for some house cleaning for you, too?

We see a lot of this kind of healing in chapter 33 of Exodus for Today’s Daily Bible Challenge! The people have sinned against God and Moses, and there needs to be some frank discussions between God and Moses to make amends and have reconciliation! As you read/listen to their conversation, please reflect back on how far Moses has come. He was not cowering in fear as he bravely confronted God to ask for another chance and even asked God to change His mind about destroying the rebellious people!

In Exodus 33:11, we hear about what an amazing relationship Moses had with God. Did you know that through accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you too can have such a relationship with God? God can be in our presence due to the price Jesus paid on the cross. You can’t earn it; it was freely given on your behalf, if you will only repent (turn away from the past) and accept the gift in faith.

If you would like to have such a relationship with God and have questions about how to start one, please contact us today via DM/PM! Click the link below and listen to God yourself with no middleman. He left us this Bible so He could talk to us before our salvation and after! It is a road map to salvation and starting a relationship with Him, and then how to have a full and rewarding life after that!

Talk with you soon!
