Exodus 24 Who do you turn to?

Good morning, my bride is home safe and sound, and there is peace in The Little Hundred Acre Wood. Do you bring that kind of peace to your spouce? I work hard to become a better man so I can learn how to bring that kind of peace to Madeline.

Yesterday, I spent some time working on the Old Jeep Eeyore to get her ready for market. I will be spending a bit more time on her this morning before moving my efforts to the new Eeyore (AKA my antique truck). I enjoy working on cars, but not when there is pressure to get everything repaired fast due to it being a daily driver. Having Madeline and her truck home takes that pressure off me and makes it fun again. Eighty-five percent of Eeyore 2’s front-end parts have arrived, with the remaining all due before Saturday. So by next week, she may actually be fun to drive; she is kind of a beast with heavily worn and loose steering and worn bushings throughout right now. Next, she will go to the experts and get a full alignment to run true and straight to protect her new tires.

Do you have experts in your life that you turn to when times get loose and worn, and out of control? Well, I would like to introduce you to the three experts in my life: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. When my life gets upside down and when it is going straight as an arrow, I turn to these three parts of the one God. Some will refer to this as the Triune God or God made of three parts. I used to struggle with this until one day a friend said, “But it's so easy, it's like an egg, three distinct parts make one thing called an egg.” I don’t know why such a simple illustration made it so easy for me, but it did!

So when things are good, I thank God, and when things are bad, I still thank God because I know what I deserve (Eternity in Hell). But He has now made me an adopted son, and with that, I understand my identity and that I do not deserve this identity, but it has been given to me by His price paid on the cross so that I may live life in eternity with Him. It also gives my life meaning that it never had before, yet I was always seeking meaning in the worst possible places, which only led to more emptiness. God has such great plans for us if we will get out of His way and make room for Him! There is a great song about that. I will leave a link in the comments.

If you have questions or comments, we welcome them in direct messaging, and all will be held in strict confidence. I respond personally to men’s questions, and Madeline and/or I respond to ladies' questions. Click the link below to listen to The Daily Bible Challenge in chapter 24 of Exodus. We will be reading/listening to how God revealed Himself to these sojourners.

We hope to talk with you soon!
