Exodus 14 Can you ignore a miracle?
Would you believe in God if you saw or experienced a miracle? Would you believe for the rest of your life and teach your children and grandchildren to believe? That is what we read about in chapter 14 of Exodus this morning. It is such a powerful account of a historical event that it is taught to this very day, thousands of years later! But that was a special miracle for God’s chosen people, “Israel”. But there are still miracles today, I know there are because I have had at least three in my lifetime. One saved me from certain death in a nighttime scuba accident about thirty-five years ago. I understand now that it was not necessarily for my favor but to keep me alive for a future change of heart to become His servant and eventually write The Daily Bible Challenge. Who knows, maybe all that was so I could react out of love yesterday when I was in a rear-end collision while stopped at a light in Granbury, Texas! I doubt that was the only reason because I am still here to continue to serve! When my time is up, I know He will bring me home!
What miracle are you writing off as a coincidence in your life? I am blessed to have a few more that make it easy for me to understand that it couldn’t be just a fluke or an accident! What a blessing it is that God made it so clear that even in my stubborn, self-centered lifestyle, I had back then that I could no longer deny God or His plan for me!
So was Moses blessed or cursed by his chosen path by God? If he was anything like me, he chose to feel blessed most of the time. No, when I was in the wreck, I didn’t feel so blessed at the moment, but when I saw the eyes of the young lady that hit me start to fill with tears, all I had was compassion and love for her. It is such a blessing to get to live for God instead of the man I used to be!
In Today’s Daily Bible Challenge, we will read/listen to how God used the waters of the sea to save His people and then to completely decimate the Egyptian army, all of them in mere seconds! What size miracle will it take for you to believe and never doubt again? Click the link below and listen to this chapter for yourself in plain American English. How easy is that?
