Genesis 27 Deception and a Murder Plot

    Good Monday morning, I hope you had a good and restful weekend and are charged up for this week ahead! I know I am, and I have a great list to accomplish today. We did pick up that parts truck last week, and today my truck (Eeyore two) will get many new items installed to correct a few details on mechanical issues. The most important part is the new carburetor, as there were problems with the original and the one I rebuilt. But she runs well now, and the AC blows cold! They sure don’t make them like this anymore. This is a forty-three-year-old truck, and it took only a fan belt, an idler bearing, and no other parts to resurrect the air conditioning, and she blows 37 degrees out of the vents! 

    Well, there I go again rambling on about this old truck, let’s get to Today’s Daily Bible Challenge in Genesis 27! If you have ever heard someone say the Bible is boring, maybe they skipped these chapters! We will have deception, stealing a blessing. We will have plots to kill the brother who pulled off this deception! Oh, and the mother of the two sons even helped, or maybe even orchestrated the whole plan of deception! The father was deceived in his old age, so there is elderly abuse here, too! Sounds like something right out of a soap opera script! Except this is real and is the nature of mankind to rebel and follow satan’s plans to steal, kill, and destroy. That is why we all need Jesus as our Lord and Savior!

Judges 7 God dealing with the pride of man, through Gideon

 Good morning, we have made it to Wednesday, and all is good! What an incredible God story we have in Today’s Daily Bible Challenge as we read/listen to Judges 7. I can only imagine what Gideon must have been feeling as God took away twenty-two thousand of his soldiers. God did this as Gideon was preparing for a battle in which he was already outnumbered by tens of thousands! But Gideon remained faithful, and then God took it from ten thousand to just three hundred! 1st Kings 4 Promises kept, although slower that planned!

    Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well. We are doing well here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. With two hounds at my feet and a tiny cat in my lap, I write to all of you with great joy in my heart! It has been such a blessing to see this blog grow so much this past year, not for my gain but for God’s glory. Please humor me as I catch up on some details for long-time readers on our project list here on the homestead.   The pressure washing will start here on the house today, and the paint should start Monday if the weather holds up for us. Some of the siding got dirty as this project started over two years ago. (even under a real tarp, dirt crept in).
