Genesis 18Abraham's Special Privileges of Being Favored by God
Good morning, we finally have some measurable rain here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. It is a bit nippy for April, for me anyway! But we needed this rain so much, I will not complain. We will finally start getting a reasonable amount of asparagus now from our little raised bed that was gifted to us by some dear friends in a rural area about 30 miles to the west of us. I am not much for veggies, but truly fresh asparagus is amazing, even raw!
My eldest son and I worked on his loaner transportation for many hours yesterday. We replaced the starter, cleaned the throttle body and idle air control valve, and then replaced the neutral safety switch too! Hopefully, all this will make that old Jeep named Eeyore/one run well and stop stalling. But as old Jeeps go, who knows what will be next! I was scheduled to do some work on my old truck, but it will need to wait for another day. I can borrow Madeline’s truck if something comes up.
We are not here for mechanics 101; we are here for The Daily Bible Challenge in Genesis 18! Y'all need to cut me off when I start rambling like that! So Abraham enters into some tough and probably dangerous negotiations with God in this chapter. This is not something I would recommend in your life. Abraham was already favored by God, and he knew it. That probably gave him some confidence for this precarious negotiation! Although I feel like a favored son because Jesus died for me, I would probably avoid such situations with God! It seems there is a delicate balance between favored son and arrogance, and out of love and respect for God, I try to stay away from that thin line! Well, stop listening to me gossiping on and on about it! Click the link below and read/listen to it for yourself!
Talk with you soon!
