Genesis 14 April Fools Day

    There is nothing of value in this chapter; let’s just take the day off! APRIL FOOLS! We don’t do those here; this is a 365-day-a-year challenge here at The Daily Bible Challenge! Making God’s word a part of your heart and soul daily will bring you closer to God in ways you have never imagined. No, He still won’t be a magic genie in a bottle for you! We exist at His pleasure, not He for ours! There is a thin line between reverence and this friendship Jesus promises us. I try to walk that line carefully to not offend my maker! I certainly hope God has a sense of humor with me not being able to resist April Fool's Day and the like. I have some evidence of that, as he created me and put Madeline and me together for life, poor darling girl! 

   Last night was special as we had several dear brothers commence from Re/Generation at StoneWater Church last night. If you are unfamiliar with this program, here is a link: https://stonewaterchurch.com/regeneration/ Madeline and I have each gone through this program, and it has helped us start a truly interment relationship with Christ, our Messiah. Madeline and I so look forward to what’s next for these men! This program is spreading across the USA, so check for a location near you! Well, we are running out of time here; we'd better get started on chapter 14 of Genesis!

   Sometimes in a chapter, you will hear a name that will be important later. Melchizedek is one of those names; please take note for future reference. But most of what we will see here is men going to war for the gain of their kings, not for honorable reasons. But Abraham’s reasons are honorable; if you dig in a bit, it will become clear. Try to contrast the motives of all these kings as you read/listen.

God’s wrath was stirred when things were not followed correctly! Two sons of Aaron were made examples of by God to establish just how serious He was about how to run the tabernacle and the rituals of sacrifice.       Good Friday morning to all of you! We have a busy day today with behind-the-scenes work for God and His people. This is the kind of thing most people don’t even think of, yet it is part of making all the pieces fit together in a church. There are so many people reaching out in need every week around the world, but behind the scenes, someone is vetting the recipients, and then after that, others are serving them with hearts full of hope and love! You may be asking, “What is this vetting”? Well, to be good stewards of God’s resources, someone needs to make sure these are not con artists going from church to church and other organizations every month, taking advantage and living high off the generosity of others and stealing those resources from the truly needy. But after the vetting, there is only love, support, and opportunities to grow and find a pathway to break the chains of poverty. Exodus 16 God's Provision, Manna

 God's Provision, Manna Good morning from the little corner office overlooking the rainy and thoroughly soaked, Little Hundred Acre Wood. There are still flashes of extreme lightning in the distance. I have always loved this artwork, but it seems to have passed by and is on its way east. This provision of rain will be nourishing our grape orchard, and it’s just in time to save the young grapes, our largest crop ever after planting five years ago now. These are all table grapes, and our weather is not ideal for growing these. Maybe this year will be our first real abundance of grapes! We are quite entrenched in The Little Hundred Acre Wood now, this will be the longest we have lived in one house, seven years has always marked big changes in our lives. Who knows what God will bring this time, or if He has plans for us to stay planted here for the rest of our days.
