Revelation 18 and Eeyore II and the homestead harvest
Happy Friday to all of you, we were out late (for us) last night for Re/Gen in Tolar. It was a great night and then we watched a movie at home. It is unusual for us to stay up together that late. Madeline is the night owl, and I usually turn in early because of the early hour I write to all of you. The movie was entertaining but not worth the grogginess I feel this morning! We have extremely high winds forecast today, so I will be heading out to the garage to work on Eeyore II, yesterday was a good day of diagnosis and one repair, today is installing all new fan belts to revive the old girl's air conditioning. All that is left is this and the turn signals and she is ready for prime time. There are several other projects needed for comforts and her poor esthetics, but those are far less pressing at the moment.
It is that time of year when we start to harvest our asparagus bed every few days. That is about the only food crop we will have this year, we are just too busy to take on anything else. Soon I will knock off on the mechanic work and get back to finishing the exterior of our house’s remodeling (new exterior insulation, windows, and siding, then paint and gutters. I then will move inside to start finishing all the inside projects in the heat of the summer. Well unless the days of Revelation 18 come before then!
Yep, this is the Daily Bible Challenge not just some old guy talking about his life on the homestead! We have a little bit longer chapter today, yet for me at least, not much stands out as something to ponder, it is all pretty straight forward. The good news is there is a warning to God’s people to flee Babylon before the wrath. I hope I am awake and hear this call in time to flee, as I will be still trying to call people to read their Bible and learn all they can about our Lord and Savior right up into the end! We welcome your thoughts and comments via PM/DM and we will get back with you shortly!
Talk with you soon!
