Genesis 9 and the death penalty oh, and a drunken Noah

    Good Thursday morning to each of you. I am excited as I await this morning’s sunrise, as we are forecast to have rain today at The Little Hundred Acre Wood on the hilltop overlooking Lake Granbury. With the clouds and sunlight, there is so much for God to use to show off His artwork in the sky. His paintings, appearing for only seconds at a time, light up the sky, and true artists aspire to copy His works on their own canvases! But if it is a grey overcast sunrise, I can rejoice in the impending rain as the whole property needs the spring rains to start, as we are in a semidrought condition. Our poor asparagus patch is not producing very well due to the lack of rain. I harvested a few stalks last night, but there was so little I just ate it while walking back up the hill. 

   Yesterday I worked far less as I needed to give the old bones in my hands a rest. The new Eeyore truck is really making some progress this week, although cosmetically, she is still a mess. The body panels have all come in damaged from shipping, causing delays as I wait for refunds or replacements. But mechanically, she is improving each day, although yesterday all I did was soda-blast the carburetor parts and fix the air conditioning. It just seems crazy to me how a forty-three-year-old truck can have great running AC with only a recharge, and modern car ACs quit working after only a few years! 

   Well, I am rambling again, let’s get to Today’s Daily Bible Challenge in chapter nine of Genesis. Where we find a drunk dad, “Noah”, a cursed son, “Canaan”, and capital punishment. There is so much to dig into here in chapter nine! Click the link below to listen for yourself!

Leviticus 9 Be a doer of God's word! It is a safer place to be, don't make stuff up on your own!

   Good morning, I will keep my ramblings very short this morning because we are doing two chapters for Todfay's Daily Bible Challenge. We are listening to chapters 9 and 10 of Leviticus. Chapter ten has something new for you to help break the difficult monotony of Leviticus! When the audiobook finishes chapter nine, just wait three seconds, and chapter ten will start on its own.    God was very clear in His instructions, and Moses and Aaron presented the details very clearly. God’s wrath was stirred when things were not followed correctly! Two sons of Aaron were made examples of by God to establish just how serious He was about how to run the tabernacle and the rituals of sacrifice. Exodus 10-11 Locusts and much worse on the way!

     Good Wednesday morning to all of you! It is a strange morning for mid-May here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood. It is 57 degrees, and for us, that is a cold morning in May; our mornings are typically 76 degrees or more by this date. I will take full advantage of the cool weather for a project on my antique truck! Soon enough, we will have triple-digit weather for at least 3 months, so we will take advantage of any breaks like today! Later, I have a lunch with my son and my bride of 38 years in a small town a bit south of us. I love these little excursions just for fun or even for work, travel is something that is set in my bones for life! Soon we will be able to take some of these trips in my little antique truck, and that will make it even more of an adventure! But none of my adventures can hold a candle to Moses and Aaron as they battled with a king, the pharaoh of Egypt.
