Genesis 3 and old trucks

Good Friday morning to all of you! Easter is around the corner now and marks spring for us here on The Little Hundred Acre Wood, our grass is growing tall enough to mow soon and we have even seen a few wildflowers and surprise lilies pop up. We have had our first asparagus harvest too! We love fresh asparagus! It has been quite warm but I have had to use my days on getting Eeyore II ready for prime time instead of remodeling our home. I had a semi-successful run into Weatherford in her yesterday. With only two minor issues to work out along the way, I will count that as a win! But with a 42-year-old truck that has not been on the road in a while, these things are to be expected for a while.

If you are asking what would make a man drive around in such an old truck it is just this simple! I am tired of fighting all the faulty electronics in modern cars, they last about eight to ten years then you are fighting cheap components that shut down the whole car leaving you stranded. These older vehicles can be repaired on the roadside without needing any finicky computers along the way. Now here is the part I find really funny, I have a degree in electronics and computers, and yet these new cars can become a nightmare to repair! So all those fancy options my truck doesn’t have are many of the things that normally break along the way. As long as my arm works, I can roll down the manually cranked windows LOL! But this is Texas so soon I will be restoring the airconditioning, that has to work and work well!

We are here for The Daily Bible Challenge, not car repair 101, so we better get moving, I hope you are all prayed up like I am and ready to listen to God’s word about the original fall of man in Genesis 3. Because of what we will be reading/listening to this morning we will understand why we are all like those vehicles destined to fail along the roadside of life. We need a Savior and He is Jesus the Messiah. Things were simpler before satan tempted Eve. What a life we would have had in the garden with God, had Adam done a better job of leading his wife away from the Tree of Knowledge. I have always felt shame as Adam blamed God for the sin because He gave him Eve! Eve blamed satan, but in reality, she might should have blamed herself first and then her husband's poor leadership. I would love to hear your thoughts on this via PM/DM. Because of this original sin, we all sin now. Before this, there was no sin in man, but there was a sin even before this one when satan fell from heaven because he sinned against God, thinking he was up to the challenge to replace God. Pride is at the root of all sin, we should learn about our pride and have a good understanding of how to keep it from leading us to hell!

   Talk with you soon!
