Genesis 2 Adam didn't lead his wife well
Good morning, I hope this letter finds you and yours well! I am up extra early this morning, maybe it is because of the changes coming in our household, maybe it is because God wanted me in prayer longer this morning, or maybe it is just bad luck, (but I highly doubt that last maybe). The change is Madeline starts a new job today, she is overjoyed to start in a real commercial kitchen this morning, she loves cooking and serving others, so I am really excited for her! There is another change coming as our eldest son moves in with us this Friday for up to 90 days as we help him get his feet back under him from a series of very hard knocks in his life! He will be living in the dungeon of this old house of ours. It gives him more privacy and independence which a man needs in such times. He will be earning his keep by helping me with the exterior remodeling so that the siding and paintwork can be completed before the end of spring. That is when he isn’t at his job saving up for a new car as his old car finally hit the point of no return on a road trip a few weeks ago. Well, that was all the rambling of an old man, but it is also meant to show that we Christians are to have compassion for those in need, especially family. But it is also important not to be an enabler, so much of life is about balance!
Today’s Daily Bible Challenge is Genesis chapter 2, and we see even God has balance as He rested after six days of very hard work. I need to take note of this weekly as I try to push harder than these old bones want to allow! This is probably one of the most controversial chapters to most of the scientific community. In this chapter God creates everything and it is easier for me to believe something from nothing this way than science’s everything from an explosion and evolution. It just seems like pure folly to not at the very least accept that there is intelligent design of some kind here! But if you wish to debate such things please do it via DM/PM so we both can really have fun with it!
There was one fact that struck me differently in this morning’s text and that is that Eve was not even created yet when God told Adam the rule about the fruit of the tree of knowledge. So was it that Adam was not a good leader for his wife? How did she not get the idea of the significance of her actions? Maybe this is why men are held responsible in the heavenly realm for their wives’ decisions (good or bad). That is a deeper study but if you dig into it, you will find it hard to ignore any longer. Here is a good link to start that digging; https://www.gotquestions.org/Eve-sinned-first.html
If you are new here, we are not here to teach you every little detail about the Bible, we assume you are an adult and will decide to dig deeper for yourselves. I do not intend to ever spoon-feed you as if you are a baby, but inspire you to read/listen to every word God has for you take it to heart, so you can become a doer of God’s word as Jesus called us to be! At this time we still answer every comment or question with personal responses if done through PM/DM, we look forward to hearing from you! Click the link below to listen for yourself!
Talk with you soon!
