Genesis 1 The great beginning!
Good morning as we start a new adventure in The Old Testament, for The Daily Bible Challenge! Where we stop listening to gossip about God and start listening to God about God! If you are new here maybe it would be best if you first went to blueletterbible.org and read at the very least John 1 (Not 1st John 1). Use the quick nav button to find this, and please choose the NASB version to keep things clear. This will give you some background needed to begin understanding things like verse 26 in Genesis 1.
It is only natural for me to discuss creation as more believable than chance, so bear with me if you are a skeptic. There are over a million parts to the human eye, without it we would have surely perished in less than a generation, so this, for me, discounts any belief in evolution. I have a hundred or more such explanations of creation, just contact me through PM/DM and I will be happy to discuss them with you!
So please consider clicking the link below and listening to God’s description of how everything came into existence. One interesting thing to me is that unlike us, He can simply speak things into existence! My other favorite part of this chapter is that God refers to Himself in the plural “Us”. This means that He already existed in three parts to make a whole God. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Referred to as the Trinity, by Christians around the world. This is also a good time to review that one name for Jesus is the Word! Then read John 1 and you will bring a new deeper meaning to Genesis!
The next few days in Genesis will set the foundation for your understanding of why we need a Savior and Lord and why the most logical answer to that is Jesus the one that was and is the Christ “Messiah”. Christ is not His last name, it is the description of who and what HE is, it means Messiah/Savior! If you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior as the Triune God, please contact us directly and we will help you walk through that process and mentor you afterward! It is why we are here at The Daily Bible Challenge because just gaining head knowledge of God without gaining heart-changing knowledge is a waste of your time!
Talk with you soon!
